This charity project is led by Hans Storm, a Dutchman who received the blessing of Ans and Tjebbo van den Eijkhof who led the Latvia Outreaches in the past. Tjebbo recently, to our great sadness, passed away. This outreach is a continuation of what Tjebbo and Ans started. For Hans, it is a privilege and honor to be able to continue this. He has experienced and co-organized many outreaches in Latvia and the Netherlands. For now, there is a wonderful team, a mix of Dutch, Belgian, and Latvian people who prepare for this outreach.
Tjebbo has brought teams of Christians to Latvia for more than 20 years to help Latvians practically and to share the Gospel. We have been in many different regions in Latvia – Kraslava, Balvi, Sabile, Livani, Valdemarpils, Dagda, Bauska, Smiltene, Kolka, Jekabpils, Liepaja, Jelgava, Rezekne, Ogre, Struzani, Karsava and Daugavpils.
Bless the people
August 3 – 11, 2024, a new mission trip will take place in Latvia. We expect that an international group of 150 to 200 enthusiastic people from Latvia and abroad will participate in this event. We also hope to welcome many team members from Latvia’s local churches.
Our main goal is to bless this country. This week we will not be staying at a hotel, but at a local school. It will be the “base” from which we will organize various activities. As a team we will have gatherings, worship times and meetings in the school assembly hall. The participation fee is 280€, which does not include the trip to Latvia, but we will provide some buses from Riga airport to the city and back, which is included in the price.
We are determined to bring hope to the cities in Latvia! We want to pay attention to all the people living there to bless them. During the week, we will go on many home visits with food bags, listen to people’s stories, share the gospel and pray for them. There will be various ministries that we will organize for families, children, women, men and young people. During the week, we will distribute clothing and bless people as much as we can.
